7 October 2020, Wednesday

In October, the day of the elderly is celebrated annually, and this category of citizens is given close attention. The joint work of EMERCOM employees and social protection workers in the places of residence of elderly citizens is carried out within the framework of the decade of elderly people and preventive work in the residential sector.

During the raids, special attention is paid to the fire safety of the home, a conversation is held with residents on compliance with fire safety requirements and a memo is handed over. When visiting places where elderly people live, employees of the social protection Department also monitor the condition of autonomous fire detectors, and replace the batteries of these devices.

In working with elderly citizens, direct interaction falls on the shoulders of employees of social protection agencies, so today the head of the inter-district Department of supervision and preventive work in the Saba and Tyulyachy municipal districts, Ainur Galimullin, held a lesson with employees who interact with elderly citizens.

With the onset of the heating season, there are more frequent cases of fires associated with the device and operation of heating stoves and chimneys, gas and electrical equipment. During his speech, the SFS inspector brought to the audience a brief analysis of the fires, just for the above reasons, recorded this year in the Saba municipal district. Ainur Galimullin called on social workers to pay attention to the fire-safe condition of their homes, namely, the condition and serviceability of heating systems, chimneys, and electrical facilities, when visiting the homes of senior citizens.

In total, 27 employees of the social protection Department took part in the lesson. Such meetings are held regularly. They are visited by representatives of the Ministry of labor, employment and social protection of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Saba municipal district.
