Three accidents with small vessels in a week. SISV inspectors urge ship owners to comply with safety rules

3 July 2020, Friday

Since the beginning of summer, the number of incidents involving small vessels has increased. Three cases of boat capsizing, as a result of which, according to preliminary data, people drowned, occurred last week. During the search, the bodies of two victims were found. The search for another fisherman who disappeared on the water is still ongoing.

So, on July 1 in Almetyevsk on the city reservoir during search operations rescuers extracted from the water the surfaced body of a man, born in 1957, who drowned on 25.06.2020 due to the capsizing of a boat during fishing.

Another case occurred in Verkhny Uslon district on the Volga river near the pier of Matyushino village. A man born in 1988 disappeared from a boat on 28.06.2020. 27.06.2020 approximately in the evening, the missing man came with friends to go fishing in the locality of Matyushino of Verkhny Uslon district. 28.06.2020 g at 02.00 am they left on two boats on fishing, where they fell asleep. When the applicant awoke, he did not find his friend. Rescuers organized the search on the water and on land. And only on July 2 in the second half of the day rescuers found the floating body of the deceased.

The third accident was a 56-year-old resident of Naberezhnye Chelny who disappeared while fishing, all his belonging things were in place, except for a dark jacket. A search was organized along the coastal zone and in the water area by rescuers and dog teams. The search continues.

If a person went out on a small boat on the water and takes passengers with him, in this case, everyone must necessarily wear life jackets, even if you ride on catamarans (they are also small boats). If the weather conditions deteriorate, it is better to return to the shore, so as not to put your life and the lives of passengers in danger.
