    The XX All-Russian Fire and Rescue sports competitions of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Cup of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan have come to an end in Kazan. The main prize in the overall competition was won by the team of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in St. Petersburg.

    On the eve and during the second competitive day of the XX All-Russian EMERCOM competitions in fire and rescue sports, the first sets of awards were awarded for the Cup of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan.

    The opening ceremony and the first starts of the XX All-Russian Fire and Rescue sports competition "Cup of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan" took place in Kazan today.

    Yuri Venediktov, Deputy Head of the territorial body of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector for Small Vessels of the Republic of Tatarstan, comments on the situation in the water bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan.

    Tatarstan firefighters and rescuers received 20 new pieces of equipment purchased at the expense of the federal and republican budgets. Fire tankers, emergency rescue vehicles, off-road passenger cars, small craft and snowmobiles joined the service.

In Tatarstan, from January 20 to January 26, units of the State Fire Service eliminated 46 fires.

Unfortunately, 4 people died in the fires, and 1 person was injured. Fire departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Tatarstan rescued 4 people.

    Another informative and interesting conversation with schoolchildren in grades 6-10 was conducted by the staff of the Department of supervision and preventive work in the Zainsk district.

    The decrease in temperature and the state of the ice cover allowed the operation of the ice crossing. Special exercises were held before the opening. 
    According to the training plan, on the Volga River, while driving along an ice crossing, a car with two passengers in the cabin exceeded the speed limit, drove out of the lane and partially fell through the ice. 

    Vasilyevo cadets of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are long–time partners and assistants of the staff of the Zelenodolsk fire and Rescue garrison. One of the important areas of joint work is fire prevention. Every year, students of the Vasilyevo Cadet boarding school and employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad go around the residential sector of the Vasilyevo settlement together.

    Fire investigation is one of the most difficult tasks in the investigation of accidents and crimes. A fire destroys all traces, destroys the original situation at the scene, and hides the evidence necessary for the investigation. The task of the investigator is not only to find the cause of the fire, but also to identify those responsible for its occurrence.
