Within the Year of civil defense in the system of EMERCOM of Russia employees of Tatarstanian voluntary fire service together with the Federation of Applied Fire Sport of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan fire and rescue garrison organized sports competitions with the elements of applied fire sport and fire relay for teams of junior firefighters of Kazan schools. Total of 22 school teams participated in the competitions. Firstly, they climbed up with a hook ladder into the window on the second floor of a training tower. After that, the sportsmen had to participate in fire relay. According to the results of all contests in overall score the team of the school No. 54 got the Cup of the Winner.

Psychologists of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan held a lecture-practice on emergency pre-psychological aid. How to provide aid to yourself and an injured, what actions are necessary and what are unacceptable – about this the courses’ participants learned on the example of hysteroid and aggressive reaction, apathy, fear, anxiety and tears.

The decade that was dedicated to the Day of Old Persons is coming to the end. Those days, people of the ‘golden age’ received congratulations, and there were organized concerts, meetings and evenings with gifts for them. Veterans of fire service of Zelenodolsk, as well, did not remain without attention. Within ten days, employees of the 8th squad of federal fire service visited nearly a hundred of their pensioners. One of the honored pensioners is Nina Tumanova. She has been working working in fire service of Zelenodolsk for eight years and a half. Being retired, she worked in voluntary fire service another five years.

Within the month of civil defense, there is held a big work on the teaching the population actions in various extreme situations in the republic. Specialists of civil defense not only conduct theoretical lessons, but also organize practicing evacuation from school buildings. There was organized practice with learning skills of safe behavior in various conditions. Such lessons were aimed to form safe life culture in growing generation and teaching it actions in various extreme situations.
