On October 12, 2014 at 20:25, an operator of the trading house of “Dulkyn” reported a fire on the second floor of the market building. When FD-5 duty guard arrived to the scene at 20:30, shopping malls on the second floor were burning. As a result of the fire, there were no casualties and injuries. The fire destroyed the trade pavilions and the property they contained on the second floor; the roof took damage due to high temperature. The smoke spoiled the property on the pavilions on the first floor. 10 units of main and 10 units of special fire truck were involved in the extinguishing. 10 barrels were directed to the fire.
Today, there were held wide scale demonstrative fire tactical trainings on the territory of one of the shops of JSC “Kazanorgsintez” with the involvement of forces and means of 5th squad of Federal Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan consisting 10 units of fire vehicle and 70 persons, and forces and means rescue detachments of one of the largest chemical companies of Russia. The trainings were observed by more than a hundred heads of fire departments and detachments of Kazan fire protection garrison.
Employees of FD-10 OFPS-7 for RT organized an Open Day for the pupils of the secondary school number 35 of the city of Kazan with the inviting of a veteran of the department. The activity was dedicated to the Month of Civil Defense. Also, there was held a “Lesson of Courage” for the pupils of the 2 “D” grade.
Incidents for October 9:
Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 45 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 8, dry grass extinguishing – 0. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 8 fires, 3 of them in the residential sector.
Causes of the fires are following: arson – 2, defect in vehicle systems, mechanisms and components – 1, violation of electrical equipment use rules – 2, carelessness when smoking – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, violation of technological requirements in production process – 1.
Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 14 times.
Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 1.
Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 7 times. Including: door unblocking – 1, traffic accident – 1, searching for a lost person – 1, searching for lost children – 1, others – 3.
Today, inspectors of supervision activity of Volga District of Kazan remind pensioners one more time about keeping fire safety rules at home while using heating appliances in the period of autumn and winter. The talk was dedicated to older persons decade and organized in the framework of “Zhilische-2014” All-Russian operation.
To prevent fires on vehicles it is necessary to keep the following rules of fire safety:
- each automobile must have serviceable extinguisher (carbon dioxide, dry powder). Engine compartment of an automobile may be additionally furnished with an extinguishing plant (water, foam, aerosol);
- vehicles intended for the carriage of passengers or specially furnished for such purpose must be equipped by two extinguishers (carbon dioxide or dry powder);
Firefighters of FD-60 OFPS -7 for RT organized an Open Day for children of the 6th grade of gymnasium number 152 in the framework of Month of Civil Defense. In the end of the activity, a general photo was made together with the gymnasium students and the firefighters of the department.
Employees of the first squad of federal fire service of RT organized a cognitive lesson and an interesting meeting for the students of 8 “C” profile class of junior rescuers of the secondary school number 31 of the city of Nizhnekamsk in the framework of Month of Civil Defense.
