More than 100 people, 20 floating means and other technique of emergency services were involved in special tactics drill on the order of holding cooperative rescue operations connected with the collision of a motor ship and a small boat on the water of the river Volga. Except employees of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan, the drill was attended by representatives of the Center of Emergency Medicine of the Ministry of Health of RT, Kazan area of waterways and navigation, Kazan riverport, Kazan linear control of MIA of Russia on a transport, Kazan center of ECOSPAS.

Incidents as of July 5:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 81 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 10, false alarms – 30, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 3, cooperation with other services – 11. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 9 fires, residential sector – 3, outhouses – 3, vehicles – 1, garden houses – 1.

“Yaroslavets” motor ship and “Kazanka-6” powerboat collided on the river port’s water. A fire happened on the motor ship, people occurred in the water. According to this scenario, special tactics drill of forces of EMERCOM, Ministry of Health, MIA, the river port’s services and “Tatflot” shipping company on rescuing people suffering shipwreck and extinguishing fire on the water will begin on July at 1:00 at the 8th berth of the river port.

Prevention of possible emergencies, safety and public order provision at places of mass gathering of people – these were the main tasks of employees of Zelenodolsk fire and rescue garrison, which was involved on duty during the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr.
