Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 90 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 23, false alarms – 29, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, burnt meal – 6, cooperation with other services – 9. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 9 fires, residential sector – 3, outhouses – 2, garden houses – 2, hay – 2, eddish – 1, dry grass – 2. 2 people died.

Within the Year of Fire Service in the system of EMERCOM of Russia, zonal competitions among gas and smoke protection service’s (GDZS) crews were held on the basis of training complex of the 8th squad. The present competitions were attended by the strongest 13 teams. Among militarized departments the 52nd fire and rescue department won the first place. FD-34 got the second result, gas and smoke protectors of the 53rd fire and rescue department took the third place.

The team of the Republic of Tatarstan on fire-applied sport won the bronze medal according to the results of XXV Championship of EMERCOM of Russia and Russian Fire-Applied Sport Championship. The competitions finished on the eve in Saratov. Total of 22 teams (581 people) participated in the championship.

Special tactics drill with joint mobile antiepizootic constant readiness squad on “Identification, Localization and Liquidation of African Swine Fever Pesthole in a Settlement” successfully finished in the city of Laishevo. All of the actions of the joint squad and features of work process in the epizootic pesthole were observed by the Deputy Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Andrey Orlov, the Head of Laishevo District, Mikhail Afanasyev, Head of Agricultural Supervision Department of Russia for RT, Nurislam Khabipov, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of RT, Nazip Khazipov, Deputy Chief of the Headquarters of Veterinary of the Cabinet of Ministers of RT, Almaz Gibadullin.

On March 11, 2015, gas and smoke protection service’s crew, headed by Lieutenant Colonel of inner service, Sergey Kostin, had time to save five people out of ruins when “Admiral” trade center was in fire in Kazan. Colonel Kostin himself was getting out the last of his crew. During the evacuation building constructions collapsed.
