The opening ceremony of XXVIII Republican Applied Fire Sport Winter Competitions among departments of the federal fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan passed on January 12, 2017. The contest took place in training center of the 2nd squad and lasted 2 days. This year, the tournament was attended by sportsmen from all over Tatarstan. After calculating points, referees gave the championship cup to KFK-1 from Nizhnekamsk. Sportsmen from KFK-2 (Almetyevsk) took deserved the second place. And KFK-7 from Kazan took the third place.

Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 15, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 12. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires, including residential sector – 1, outhouses – 5.

Including garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 13, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 8. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 16 fires, including residential sector – 4, outhouses – 7, vehicles – 3, garden houses – 1.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 43 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 18, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 8. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires, including residential sector – 3, outhouses – 2, vehicles – 1.

At night on January 19, the Orthodox world will mark the holiday of Epiphany. Order and safety will be provided by police employees, medics, GIMS inspectors, rescuers and firefighters. All places of Epiphany immersions on the water will be inspected by departments of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. 122 places for Epiphany immersions are planned to be organized in the republic, so far.

New Year in old style will come very soon. Usually, this holiday is marked not so rough like on December 31, but it also does not do without incidents, sometimes. Remember, that a drunk person may be guilty of a fire. In such condition, people not always can adequately analyze the situation, thus, save themselves in case of an accident. Moreover, due to such persons, others may die, as well.

The Head of EMERCOM of Russia, Vladimir Puchkov, held a thematic video conference meeting in the situational hall of the National Crisis Management Center of EMERCOM Russia. It was dedicated to the issue of people’s safety provision during the celebrations of Old New Year and Epiphany, as well as during hard frost that will keep in several regions of the country.

Firefighters of the republic eliminated 10 fires, including residential sector – 2.

On January 11, voluntary firefighters of “Bolshaya Myosha” voluntary fire department extinguished a private house together with the local population in the village of Sosnovy Mys in Tyulyachi District through the window simultaneously protecting a neighbouring house. A bit later, “Balandysh” voluntary fire department and FD-134 arrived to the fire site. Firefighters released the threat to the neighbouring house. At 11.41 P.M. the open fire was eliminated. As a result of the fire, the house on the area of 28 sq. m burned down. Preliminary cause of the fire is the violation of electrical equipment’s technical use rules.
