Incidents as of March 6:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 33 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 5. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires, including residential sector – 4, outhouses – 2, various types of property – 1. 1 person was injured. 1 person was saved.

On March 6, 2017 at 8.30 P.M. there was received a message about falling a car down the ice on the Volga river in 400 meters from the village of Verkhny Uslon. The KIA Spectra car moved onto the ice on an unspecified place and on its way drove into an ice hole with its front wheels. There are no dead or injured. The driver escaped. Employees of Verkhny Uslon fire and rescue garrison and inspectors of the Center of GIMS EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan arrived to the scene.

According to the technical examination of the ice passage on the Volga between the Settlements of Zelenodolsk and Nizhnie Vyazovye, inspectors of the Center of GIMS of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan made a decision to introduce the traffic limit on the ice passage for vehicles over 2.5 tons from March 6, 2017. The limit will last until 9 o’clock in the morning on March 9. After that, the given ice passage will be finally closed for traffic.

Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 11, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 5. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires, including residential sector – 4, outhouses – 1, garden houses – 1.

GIMS employees conducted a technical examination of the ice passage between the settlements of Arakchino and Verkhny Uslon; according to its results there was made a decision about closing the passage over the Volga from 0.00 A.M. on March 7. The decision in connected with increasing average daily temperature and ice strength reduction, as well as melt water becoming on the ice passage.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 40 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 15, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 9. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires, including residential sector – 4. 1 person died. 1 person was injured. 4 people were saved.

The All-Russian Competitions for the Cup of the Minister of EMERCOM of Russia and the Russian Championship for the Cup of All-Russian Voluntary Fire Service on Fire and Rescue Sports took place in Ryazan in the winter sports center of fire and rescue sports of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for Ryazan Oblast. According to general team results, sportsmen of Moscow Oblast took the first place. Appliers of Tatarstan reached the second step of the pedestal and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug showed the third result.

The last stage of the republican competitions for the title of “The best team of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan on conducting rescue operations during liquidation of emergency situation with a car in 2017” took place on the central square in the town of Alekseevskoe, Alekseevsk District. The competitions were attended by the best 11 teams of republican departments. The solemn opening of the competitions was held by the main referee, the Chief of the Office of Fire Extinguishing Organization and Rescue Operations Conduct of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Colonel of inner service, Konstantin Chanyshev.

Firefighters of the republic eliminated 8 fires, including residential sector – 3, outhouses – 1, garden houses – 1, vehicles – 2, various types of property – 1. 1 person died.

The team of the fire and rescue department No. 53 drove from Zelenodolsk to the city of Alekseevsk for republican competitions on rescue operations during traffic accident consequences liquidation. It happened that on their way to the competitions, Zelenodolsk firefighters had to show their professional skills in a real traffic accident, which happened literally in front of their eyes.
