On April 30, 368th anniversary of the Fire Service of Russia is celebrated.

Before the professional holiday, firefighters of the first squad of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan held the squad’s volleyball championship dedicated to the day of Fire Service of Russia. The squad’s 15 teams participated in the event. The headquarters team and the fire and service department No. 91 were the strongest who managed to reach the final. The headquarters team won.

Today, rescuers came to visit students of Koschakovo high school of Pestretsy District on an all-terrain vehicle – swamp buggy. As soon as the huge swamp buggy entered the school gates, children surrounded it from all sides. The conversation with the schoolchildren was held by a rescuer of the zonal search and rescue squad No. 2 of SAR under EMERCOM RT, Dmitry Kornilov. For a long time from February 1974 until December 1985, he has headed the Civil Defense Headquarters of Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. For service years he was awarded with ‘For courage in fire’ medal and another 16 state and departmental awards.
