At 2.20 PM on April 20, power supply on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan was fully resumed. Recovery works processed by forces of 20 brigades of district power network (64 people, 20 pieces of technique). Total of 168 people, 66 pieces of technique involved in the works. Preliminary cause of the power supply cut are falling branches, wires overlapping on power lines as a result of winds at night up to 21 m/s.

The cause for the meeting was the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the 8th squad of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan. Minister of civil defense and emergency situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant-General of inners service Rafis Khabibullin, the Head of Zelenodolsk Municipal District, Mayor of the city of Zelenodolsk, Aleksandr Tygin, honored employee of Inner Service Department, Major-General of the police Aleksandr Vayda, leaders of squads of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today, within the second stage of All-Russian staff drill, employees of Kazan unit of RSChS territorial subsystem worked up practical actions on liquidation of emergency situations causes be spring flooding. The drill involved forces and means of the municipal unit of the city of Kazan, medics and the police, the staff of airmobile team of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, rescuers and firefighters of Kazan fire and rescue garrison. Also, a life-support town was deployed on the river bank to warm up and feed evacuated sufferers.

At 7.45 AM on April 20, 2017, there was received report on partial power supply cut in 41 settlements on the territory of 9 municipal districts (Tetyushi, Zelenodolsk, Kamskoe Ustye, Kaybitsy, Pestretsy, Atnya, Kukmor, Rybnaya Sloboda, Laishevo Districts and the city of Kazan). Total of 15,846 people, including 4,320 children, living in 3,218 houses fell into the cut, as well as social objects: 27 schools, 2 boiler rooms. A group of territorial subsystem of RSChS involved in eliminating causes: 168 people, 66 pieces of technique.

At 7.45 AM on April 20, 2017, there was received a report about power supply cut as a result of the adverse weather conditions in 41 settlements with population of 10,234 people (including 1,285 children) (12 schools, 2 steamshops, 11 feeders, 178 transformer substations) on the territory of Tetyushi, Zelenosolsk, Kamskoe Ustye, Kaybitsy, Rybnaya Sloboda, Pestretsy municipal districts and a part of the city of Kazan. 126 people and 46 pieces of technique were involved in the liquidation of the accident consequences.

Incidents as of April 19:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 57 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 21, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 30. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 2 fires, including residential sector – 2. 1 person was injured.

Gold and bronze badges of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labour and Defense” were given to his colleagues by the Deputy Minister of civil defense and emergency situations, Nikolay Surzhko, today. State employees of the emergency department showed their physical training on six test types of the complex and achieved high sport results in three age groups.

Before the celebration of the professional holiday of the Fire Service Day of Russia, as well as within the social action of Russia “Write a letter to a fire service veteran”, EMERCOM employees of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny held several events. Those day, fire service veterans actively participated in events, met with children from orphanages and boarding schools, with school students. All pensioners were invited to fire departments, where excursions across fire stations, tea drinking were organized for them.

In accordance with the resolution of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, from April 19 to 21, 2017, EMERCOM of Russia conducts wide-scale drills. Working up actions on liquidation of emergency situations connected with spring flooding and natural fires is at hand. On the first day, all forces will be alerted to respond occurring emergency situations. On the second day, work to be organized, and then, on the third day, directly liquidation of conditional emergency sitations.

Including garbage extinguishing – 8, false alarms – 28, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 27. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires, including residential sector – 3, outhouses – 3, vehicles – 1. 1 person was injured.
