Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexey Pesoshin, and the Head of the the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant General of internal service Rafis Khabibullin took part in the meeting of the Governmental Commission on Prevention of Emergency Situations and Fire Safety in the video conference mode. The meeting was held by Minister of EMERCOM of Russia, Vladimir Puchkov. The main issue was the implementation of the preparations for security during the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Pupils of the fifth class of the school № 51 have learned many interesting and informative from the mouth of the veteran of Kazan squad of the Federal Fire Service № 7, Nikolay Parfyonov. In conclusion of the lesson the veteran wished the children to be healthy, courageous, strong and purposeful and to achieve the goal in life. And for those who want to come to the fire service, the doors are always open.

The solemn ceremony of awarding winners of the republican contests of children's drawings and essays was held in the State Council. In addition, winners of the online testing, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan and young heroes were awarded. The best of the best were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.

Thirty two years ago, in April 1986, the fourth unit at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant exploded. The scales of the tragedy could have been immeasurably greater unless courage and dedication of the participants in the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster, who came from all over the country, including from Tatarstan, and who entered the 'battle' with radiation. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, I speak with sincere condolences to those whose relatives, friends and comrades have gone out of their lives.

Incidents as of April 24:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 39 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 14, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 11. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 3 fires: residential sector – 1, garden houses – 1, various types of property – 1.

72 cynology units participated in the training assembly and certification tests of search and rescue cynology units of EMERCOM of subjects of the Russian Federation of Volga Federal District. The solemn opening of the event took place in the base of Naberezhnye Chelny search and rescue squad.

The first squad of the federal fire service organized a volleyball tournament dedicated to the historical event of the 100 anniversary of the Soviet fire service, which was widely celebrated on April 17. 14 teams of fire and rescue units plus squad headquarters in a stubborn fight competed for the final. The squad headquarters' team won.
