On May 7, on the eve of Victory Day, a meeting in dedication to the 73 anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War was held at the 'Motherland' memorial in Naberezhnye Chelny. Veterans of Naberezhnye Chelny Fire and Rescue garrison with their grandchildren, young employees of the 15 squad, relatives of the dead employees, cadets 'firefighter and rescuer' corps  of the cadet school named after the hero of the Soviet Union Nikita Kaymanov, young firefighters (students) of the 4 grade of a secondary school came to pay tribute to soldiers who died in the war of 1941—1945.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 110 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 20, abandoned building – 1, false alarms – 56, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 13. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 11 fires: private houses – 3, trailers – 1, garden houses – 1, outhouses – 4, preschool facilities – 1, abandoned buildings – 1.

On May 7, 2018 a test match of FIFA 2018 World Cup will take place in Kazan. At the stadium and near it there will be organized the duty of employees of the state fire supervision, exposed fire and rescue vehicles with personnel, as well as mobile complexes of radiation and chemical monitoring. The water area of the Kazanka will be patrolled by swimming facilities.

Today on the River Kazan under the 'Millenium' road bridge GIMS employees,  rescuers and medics as a part of interdepartmental freelance emergency response team carried out a rescue operation to evacuating people from a small burning vessel. The freelance rapid reaction group and all the forces involved in the training coped well with the task and are ready to respond to possible emergencies on the water.

The personnel of Kazan Fire and Rescue Garrison took part in an action carried out by the Ministry of Forestry of RT 'The Day of Planting Forest in the Republic of Tatarstan'. 13 firefighters of Kazan squad of the Federal Fire Service № 7 for the Republic Tatarstan went to planting young seedlings in the forestation near the Lake Goluboe in Vysokaya Gora District.

Employees of territorial divisions of the Department of Supervision and Prevention of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan held lessons of courage.Together with veterans of fire service there were conducted 14 lessons of courage in general education institutions of the republic, 2 lessons of courage in institutions of secondary education and 1 lesson of courage in the 'Laska' social orphanage for children and teenagers. 15 veterans of fire service and over 1,500 children participated in the lessons of courage.

Including garbage extinguishing – 65, false alarms – 105, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 9. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 11 fires: private houses – 3, apartment buildings – 2, outhouses – 1, saunas – 2, other objects – 2, vehicles – 1.

Incidents as of May 5:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 199 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 46, dry grass – 6, cane – 1, abandoned building – 1, false alarms – 124, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 9. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires: private houses – 2, apartment buildings – 1, saunas – 1, other buildings and constructions – 1, vehicles – 1. 1 person was injured, 2 persons were saved.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 130 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 24, false alarms – 67, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 21. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 3 fires: private houses – 1, apartment buildings – 1, vehicles – 1.

During the briefing, which took place in the videoconference mode, there were discussed questions about planned events on carrying out of a test match at the 'Kazan-Arena' stadium, about the using and tasks of forces and means with their arrangement on the territory of the object, order of using mobile troops, using and tasks of the NBC-complex, group of GIMS and state fire supervision, about tasks and operation of the operational staff on control of situation during the sport events. Some working problems were also discussed.
