Today, on the basis of the Kazan search and rescue squad gathered firefighters, students of the Training Center of the Federal Fire Service in the Republic of Tatarstan. Experienced rescuers have prepared a practical lesson for fellow firefighters who are just entering their professional path. In the base of the detachment, rescuers built a real training ground on which all of them could simulate various emergency situations. 

Sixteen of the most experienced civil defense specialists from municipal districts of the republic came to Kazan to fight for the title of 'The best civil defense specialist of EMERCOM the Republic of Tatarstan in 2018'. The final stage of the competition began with a test of knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework in the field of civil defense. Then the participants demonstrated their skills in first aid, put on personal protective equipment for time and showed skills in working with dosimetric instruments.

Today, employees of the inter-district department of supervision and preventive work for Aksubayevo and Nurlat municipal districts conducted exercises in the Nurlat residential home for the elderly and disabled and the Nurlat residential school for children with disabilities. During the events, great attention was paid to the condition of electrical equipment, escape routes, fire-fighting water supply, equipping with primary fire extinguishing equipment, driveways, operability of automatic means of detecting and alerting people about a fire, operability of telephone communication, provision with personal respiratory protection and collective rescue equipment.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 54 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 22, short circuit – 5, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires: residential sector – 1, vans – 1,garden houses – 1, bathhouses – 1, abandoned buildings – 1. 1 person died.

According to the Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan, at night on October 9, 2018, in some places on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, a strong westerly, northwesterly wind will gust up to 15-18 m/s, in the evening on October 8 locally up to 23 m/s.

In Kazan, from October 11 to 12, 2018, an extended meeting of the regional expert-qualification commission of the Central Regional Center of EMERCOM of Russia will be held. Experts of the State Fire Supervision from the regions of the Volga Federal District will take part in the meeting. It is expected that during the meeting the results of competitions for the titles 'Best Employee' and 'Best Forensic Expert Institution' of EMERCOM of Russia of Volga Federal District will be summed up.

Since October 1, in all schools of the republic, EMERCOM's employees organize cognitive classes for children on the basics of life safety. The event organizers show children the primary ways of providing medical care, rescue workers show all their equipment to children. During the classes, children are also given 'smart' booklets from EMERCOM, so that a 'hint' is always at hand in case of trouble.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 49 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 8, false alarms – 16, short circuit – 4, meal burning – 0, cooperation with other services – 4. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires: residential sector – 2, garden houses – 1, outhouses – 3. 1 person died, 1 person was injured.
