One person was lost under the fallen brick wall in Kazan.

    According to fuller information the garage’s roof on the territory of “Tatstroy”, where there were motor-vehicles, has fallen off. The collapse’s area is about 700 sq. meters. Under the fallen constructions rescuers have found a corpse of a man of 1960 year of birth. He was pressed down under the fallen brickwork.

   At first the collapse’s place has been inspected by experts with dogs for the purpose of finding other victims or lost persons. Both dogs haven't confirmed fear of rescuers. Then analysis of the place of a blockage was started by the rescuers. They threw away pieces of the fallen brickwork by hand and shoveled snow. After such work and additional visual survey of the place of the accident analysis will be started by heavy machinery.

    From the scene of event actions of the rescuers and the collapse’s reason were commented by the colonel Andrey Orlov - the head of search and rescue works, the deputy chief of the General Department of the Russian Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of RT of protection, monitoring and prevention of Emergency Situations’ Department.

   - The message from the eyewitnesses about the falling of the roof and the wall, and that there were victims, was received at the telephone «112». At once all strategical services have arrived here: firemen, rescuers, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ambulance, the car of medicine of accidents, - Andrey Orlov has told in the interview to mass-media. - On their arrival it was determined that there had been a total falling of the roof and walls on the area of about 700 sq. meters. Rescuers have found out one lost person on the place of the accident. The victim, 1960 year of birth, is the inhabitant of Kazan. More information will be found out by investigators of Office of Public Prosecutor. The garage belonged to organization "Tatstroy", which leased a premise to someone. Inside there were passenger cars, lorries, the crane. The garage has been locked up. Possibly, the victim was passing by. He was pressed down by the fallen wall, and he got injuries, not compatible to life. The collapse occurred because of snow on the roof, the thickness of a snow cover was approximately 60 centimetres, and 80 centimetres in some places. Now rescuers with dogs are working here. They have done four stoppings. Our main task is to make sure that there are no victims more in order to use heavy machinery in analyzing blockages.

     All works will be continued during the 3rd of February before dark.
