Journalists are guests at Zelenodolsk’s firemen

Traditional briefing with representatives of mass media was spent in Zelenodolsk’s garrison of fire protection. «The number of fires in comparison with previous years decreased - the chief of detachment №8 of FFS of Republic of Tatarstan Zufar Haliullin told the journalists about the main result of the year’s work. – So, in 2010, in the Zelenodolsk’s municipal area there were 221 fires, it is 32 per cent less, than in 2009». The head of the garrison considers decrease of an amount of fires a merit not only of firemen, but also of specialists of mass-media who inform the population about occurring events efficiently and competently, form public opinion and actively popularize knowledge of fire safety’s measures among people.

     Zufar Haliullin told journalists about results of the past year, questions of propaganda of measures of fire safety, work with the rising generation and especially work had done during the period of the last fire-dangerous summer. Journalists asked questions about service problems, creation of voluntary fire formations in countryside, inculcation of culture of fireproof behavior to our citizens.

    Before the beginning of the briefing the improvised duty in the local fire station №53 has been organized specially for Zelenodolsk’s journalists. During "the watch" workers of mass-media could study visually everyday life of firemen and even try their heavy uniform on, which they had not only to move in quickly and vigorously, breathe in special equipment in extreme conditions, but also rescue victims.

    Receiving and turning over guard duty, technics’ survey, fire-tactical exercise, work of a duty-dispatching office of service and, of course, constant departures on alarm - in the day of joint “watch” journalists worked near to firemen and held a hand on pulse of events literally. Among the most active persons in «fire subjects» – the editor of department of letters and social problems of the newspaper «Zelenodolsk’s truth», Irina Novikova, who, according to the results of 2010, has become the prize-winner of republican competition among representatives of mass-media «Fire and people». The editor of another Zelenodolsk’s newspapers «Jashel Uzen»,  Alfija Zijakaeva, publishes the numerous materials which are throwing light upon questions of fire safety in Tatar language.

     These correspondents, cooperating with Zelenodolsk’s firemen throughout many years, became winners of local competition of the best publication concerning fire-prevention subjects, had announced by the management of detachment №8 of FFS last year. During the present briefing the competition was summed up and the winners were awarded.

     Letters of thanks and gratuities were presented to Irina Novikova and Alfija Zijakaeva. For the active help and support in throwing light upon questions of a fire service, the editor-in-chief of TV channel «Green Dale» Elena Veselova have been also awarded. The information about the last press conference was reflected in all local mass media.
