The State Council Discussed Protective Measures Against Emergencies

The State Council held a videoconference with representatives of municipal units on issues of implementation of republican legislation on protection of population and territories from emergencies and the work of rescue services. The event was organized by the Committee on Law and Order. Chairman of the Committee, Shakir Yagudin, held the videoconference.

Particular attention was paid by representatives of EMERCOM to the of flood situation. Traditionally, there was a question about the fishermen, who contrary to logic and common sense still continue to go on the ice. Another problem is the spring-summer period: to provide safety of people on the water. As noted Chief of the Department of People’s Safety on the Water of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, chief state inspector for small vessels, Yuri Venediktov, from 70 to 150 people die every year in the swimming season.
