Do Not Drive Onto the Ice! Risking Their Lives Rescuer Divers of EMERCOM of Tatarstan Pulled a Dead Body and a UAZ Car Out of the Water in Kirov Oblast

On April 4, when driving on a closed ice passage over the river Vyatka a UAZ car fell through the ice in the village of Gonba of Malmyzh District of Kirov Oblast. By the order of Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of RT, Chief of SAR of RT, Ilham Nasibullin, a divers team (4 people on 2 cars) was directed for an operation on pulling out the pickup truck and people who probably were in it. One dead body was found in the vehicle.

At 11:45 P.M., the divers made a repeated descent to search 2 people possibly drowned. At 0:15 A.M., the diving operation was over, searching did not make a result. 24 people and 11 vehicles, including 5 people and 2 vehicles from EMERCOM were involved for the liquidation of the accident’s consequences.
