- In the hard frost try not to go outside with no particular reason.
- When you go outside, look weather forecast in advance to put on clothes which suit the temperature.
- Do not drink alcohol, because alcoholic intoxication (however, any other one) causes the illusion of warmth and causes hypothermia.
- Do not smoke in frost, because smoking reduces peripheral circulation of blood, and thus, makes extremities more vulnerable.
- Wear loose clothes, this assists in normal circulation of blood. Put on clothes by “cabbage” principle, there will be air between layers of clothes which excellently save warmth.
- Tight shoes, absence of an insole usually serve as main suppositions for callosities and frostbites. You need to put warm insoles into shoes, and put on instead of cotton socks wool ones, because they absorb moisture saving feet dry.
