Automatic Fire Protection Systems in Many-Storeyed Building Did Not Trigger in Time

On December 28, an illegally occupied boxroom started burning in a 16-storeyed apartment building on Bigichev St. The doorway of the house started to fill with acrid smoke, but at the same time the smoke removal system with automatic valves in the corridors triggered with a large delay. Also, fire cabinets were not equipped with fire hoses and RS-50 barrels. Thanks to quick and well-coordinated actions of fire detachments there were no injured among the residents and the fire area did not extend.

9 violations of fire safety requests were found during the inspection in 2013. Their elimination time expired on February 1, 2014. The last inspection was held on February 12, 2015. During the inspection it was found that the violations of fire safety requests identified earlier were not eliminated, after all.
