Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of December 17:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 71 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 29, short circuit of wiring without burning – 0,  singed meal – 3, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 8 fires, including 6  in residential sector. 4 people were injured.

Causes: careless use of fire – 1, arson – 1, violation of electrical equipment use rules – 1, violation of electrical equipment technical installation rules – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, faulty vehicle electrical equipment – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation and use rules – 1, carelessness when smoking – 1.

Rides of fire departments for rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 10 times. 2 people were rescued.

Rides of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 0.

Rides of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 5 times. Including: door unlocking – 2, others – 3. Preventive works – 6.

Ice on a water reservoir may be considered safe if its thickness is not less than 7 centimeters, and not less than 15 centimeters so that a group of people can walk on a frozen water basin safely. - It is especially dangerous to leave children alone locked in apartments and rooms. In case of fire they cannot quit burning room themselves.

- Remember that every adult is responsible to halt playing with fire and to explain children that it is dangerous.

- Take care of your children’s safety, explain them that they must quit room immediately during a fire, and then call single number of emergency services 112.
