Fire and Rescue Units of EMERCOM of Russia Liquidate Consequences of a Fire in Vakhitovsky District of the City of Kazan

On November 17, 2015 at 11:04 A.M., burning in four-storey office building at 57, Ostrovsky St., Kazan was reported via GLONASS-112 system.

When first fire and rescue units arrived to the scene, they identified burning of the roof of the garret. There are no victims and injured. During the exploration of the lower floors, a Gas and Smoke Protection Service unit saved 1 person. Fire area is 300 m2.

57 people and 21 vehicles and items of special equipment from EMERCOM of Russia were involved in the liquidation of consequences of the fire.

Inspectors of State Fire Supervision and Fire Research Laboratory work at the scene.

The cause of the fire is ascertained.
