Rescuers Told Children Why They Learn Only From the Great and the Good

Today, children of Kazan boarding school named after E. Lastochkina for hard of hearing children came to Kazan Search and Rescue Squad, a branch of Volga Regional Search and Rescue Squad of EMERCOM of Russia. Firstly, boys and girls were acquainted with four-legged rescuers, Lisa, a French sheepdog Beauceron and Urga, a Belgian sheepdog Malinois.

Further children were shown special equipment which allows rescuers to work at technogenic obstructions, traffic accidents, fires and other emergencies. Armature was cut though and pipes were flattened before their eyes. Then , rescuers made an excursion through the building of cynology service. When children saw a gradebook children noticed that there were not any threes and twos and asked why so. Deputy Chief of Kazan Search and Rescue Squad, Vadim Glushkov answered: “If a rescuer knows his work bad, it’s no place amongst search and rescue service.” Also,a thermovision camera which allows to find people at obstructions impressed the children. In the end of the meeting, children were taken for a drive on quad bikes.
