Characteristic Incidents for the Last Day

Incidents as of March 9:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 51 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 26, cooperation with other services – 5. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 5 fires, 2 of them in residential sector.

Causes are: violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 3, violation of fire safety rules during electrical equipment use – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 10 times. 3 people were saved.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 12 times. Including: door unblocking – 3, traffic accident – 2, demercurization – 1, preventive raids at mass gathering places of fishermen – 4, rescuing fishermen – 1,  others – 1.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for RT warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave electrical and gas devices unattended.
