On the eve of the Orthodox holiday of Epiphany, GIMS employees came out to a river to check the ice thickness. As in previous years, the baptistery will be organized on the river Melekeska near Temple of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Ziab District. Employees of Chelny department of GIMS Center of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan instructed the clergy on the rules of safe behavior on the ice. In addition, inspectors addressed via the media to residents of Naberezhnye Chelny with recommendations on not making a crowd near baptisteries and observe what is happening from the coast if possible.
