Pupils have to be more educated by basis of safety and ability to live
Such information has been sounded today during a seminar of the Tatar republican branch of the Russian voluntary fire society (TRB RVFS) with teachers of a subject “Basis of safety and ability to live (BSAL)”. Action was spent within the limits of a month of fire safety of children, which have been started in our republic since August, 20th. Following the results of a seminar the program of teaching of the BSAL at schools will be added and improved.
- The action with participation of representatives of Central administrative board of the MES of Russia in Republic of Tatarstan, TRB RVFS and management of education of executive committee of Kazan is devoted increase of teaching level of BSAL subject and topic of fire safety at schools, - the chairman of the council of TRB RVFS Alik Nazmutdinov has informed. - At acquaintance with a course of the school program, it was found out that amount hours that allocated for a subject is not enough, therefore we have decided to raise knowledge level of pupils.
On the first Russian Olympic Games among pupils on BSAL knowledge which have passed in Kislovodsk the Republic of Tatarstan team was included into number of participants and has taken the third place, Alik Nazmutdinov has noted.
According to vice-president of TRB RVFS Zirjak Shigapov, in some educational institutions of a city the proper attention is not always given to BSAL subject. «It is necessary to prepare children for a life and to learn to behave right and to survive at fires», - has informed Zirjak Shigapov who has suggested teachers to pay attention of children during the lessons on the actions necessary at occurrence of a fire in apartment.
To 40 percent of all ignitions in premises malfunction of electro conducting or electric equipment are the causes. The import home appliances are not adapted for our conditions, and regular jumps of pressure become a cause of the fire. Therefore pupils should know that the technics turned on the network is potential threat for ignition.
Also this is not bad to know the examples of destruction of people from blow of lightning, leak of household gas, storage conditions of gas bags, and dangerous experiments with poisonous chemicals.
The vice-president of TRB RVFS recommended teachers to pay attention to evacuation rules for pupils at occurrence of emergency situations during the autumn and spring period, and during winter time.
Zirjak Shigapov has sounded also questions on maintenance of schools with automatic systems of the fire alarm system. According to the vice-president of TRB RVFS, these systems are becoming ineffective and even disabled despite the money which have been spent for their acquisition.
However, efforts of republic on fire safety in educational institutions yield the positive results. The chief of branch of Management of SFS RT Vladimir Pavlenko has informed the MES of the Russian Federation about decrease in amount of fires for last five years, including about 50 percent decrease in ignitions because of a childish prank with fire. However, for 2008 the fiery elements have absorbed 14 children. As it was found out, victims of the fire were the girls and boys from 7 till 13 years. As the teacher of the Educational Center of the Federal fire service in RT the lieutenant colonel of internal service Xenia Gorinova has noted it means that it is necessary to introduce pupils with bases of fire safety in initial classes, creating in the course of out-of-class work of a team of young firemen and giving explanatory talks among parents. The effect will be given also by excursions in a museum of fire protection and pupils’ acquaintance to fire technics. BSAL teachers complained about very limited time which is allocated for a subject – only one hour per week. But, nevertheless, according to the deputy chief of department on a city of Kazan Central administrative board of the MES of Russia in Republic of Tatarstan Marat Fajzurahmanov, the Kazan pupils have high level of preparation in BSAL and in actions in extreme situation. Numerous victories of pupils of the Kazan schools testify to it at republican competitions. Pupils of 101 schools have won the first place in inter-regional competitions «Young rescuer» which passed in Cheboksary. And, our team has taken part in this competition for the first time and has achieved a victory. If we add here the success of our children in Kislovodsk quite iridescent picture turns out.
