Characteristic Incidents for Last Day

Incidents for September 13:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 86 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 6, dry grass extinguishing – 2. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 18 fires, 4 of them in residential sector.

Causes of the fires are following: violation of fire safety rules during electric appliance use – 1, defect in vehicle systems, mechanisms and components – 1, violation electrical equipment installation rules – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 8, careless handling of fire – 1, child prank – 2, violation of fire safety rules during works with fire – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating stove and chimney – 1, carelessness when smoking – 1, faulty wiring of vehicle – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 18 times. 2 persons wererescued.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 4.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 12 times. Including: door unblocking – 4, traffic accident – 1, searching for lost in forest (Tukayevsky District – woman was not found) – 1, searching for lost on the water (Nizhnekamsky District – man was not found) – 1, rescue operation on the water – 1, open lesson at school – 1, others – 2.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on RT warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! Fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness in handling of fire. Intoxicated person loses one’s control and actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.
