On September 13, 2014 at 13:34 via the single emergency call number 112 there was reported a capsizing and sinking of “Kazanka-5” boat which was carrying four men in 800 meters from the coast of the Volga near village Staroe Arakchino of Kirov District of Kazan. All of them fell into the water.
Rescuers duty guard of ZPSO №2, Kazan branch of PRPSO of EMERCOM of Russia and forces of traffic police and emergency were immediately sent to the scene. As it turned out, an overload to one side led a small boat to the accident. When four of the men sat on one side of the boat it capsized. The water temperature did not exceed 10 degrees, so the men despite the fact that they were drunk were thoroughly frozen. 17 people, 6 units of vehicle, including 7 people and 3 units of vehicle from EMERCOM of Russia were involved in elimination of the accident.
