Bronze at EMERCOM of Russia Championship

The team of the Republic of Tatarstan won a bronze medal in the team event in XXIII Championship in fire-applied sports of EMERCOM of Russia in Orenburg. The active members of Tatarstan athletes have three gold medals in the individual competition.

Representatives of 27 teams competed for the title of the strongest at the final stage of the Championship of EMERCOM of Russia. In addition to adult athletes there were youth groups. Participants of the tournament traditionally competed in three kinds of fire-applied sports: 100-meter obstacle course, climbing the scaling-ladder to the training tower and fire relay.

Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan, the world champion in the Russian team and repeated champion of Russia, Konstantin Kurgan won a gold medal in climbing the scaling-ladder. Another medal of the highest dignity is on account of Igor Sysoev, who became the champion of Russia in the 100 m. The winning initiative of his senior comrades was supported by Kamil Ibragimov, who won a gold medal among the youth in the older age subgroup; he managed to beat rivals in 100-meter obstacle course.

Title of the champion of Russia went to Moscow Oblast team. Sportsmen of Chelyabinsk Oblast finished their performance in the second place.
