Characteristic Incidents for Last Day

Incidents for August 10:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 83 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 10, dry grass extinguishing – 3. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 11 fires, 4 of them in the residential sector.

Causes of the fires are following: careless handling of fire by unidentified persons – 2, violation of fire safety rules during stove use – 2, incorrect installation of furnace and chimney – 2, arson – 2, childish prank with fire – 1, carelessness when smoking – 2.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 23 times. 5 persons were rescued.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 15 times. Including: door unblocking – 2, search operations on the water – 5, traffic accident – 1, preventive raids at mass recreation places – 2, safety provision at high-diving competitions – 1, trees sawing – 1, others – 3.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on RT warn:

· do not abuse alcohol, never smoke in bed;

· do not leave children unattended, teach them basic rules of fire safety;

· never use faulty electrical wiring, do not overload the grid, use caution when using electric heaters;

· do not leave electrical and gas devices unattended.

Remember! Fire does not occur by itself.  Its cause is the human negligence and carelessness in handling of fire. Intoxicated person loses one’s control and actions, and all the more cannot bear any responsibility for another person's life.

Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on RT warn:

· do not enter water after a long time spent under the sunlight (muscles may be convulsed);

· it is forbidden to dive in unfamiliar places, swim behind buoys and play games that can be dangerous for people’s lives and health, and you should not swim on inflatable mattresses or bladders and get close to ships;

· do not swim in unequipped places, the bottom is unexplored and there is no rescuers around;

· in the water with a large number of algae you should try to swim closer to the surface and not touch the plants. But if your hands and legs are entangled by stems, make a pause (take a “float” position to bob up) and release them;

· do not leave children unattended, and all the more, do not drink alcohol. Be careful and cautious. But if you get in trouble, remember: professionals are near. Do not procrastinate with a calling for help. There may be several causes  throwing into a tragedy but the reckoning is the only – life.
