On June 28, 2014, according to the "Office of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan", thunderstorms, a strong east and south-east wind with gusts up to 17 m/s are expected in some places of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan City at night, in the afternoon and evening; during thunderstorms 19-24 m/s squally gusts (up to 20 m/s in Kazan), hail and heavy rain locally.

MES of RT recommends:

Drivers to refrain from traveling behind their inhabited locality unless it is absolutely necessary, to be careful on roads, to keep safe distance, high-speed mode according to weather conditions. It is necessary to avoid a disorderly and abrupt braking maneuver and strictly follow the instructions of traffic signs, traffic police requirements and guidelines of traffic police service. To ensure a smooth operation of snowplows it is necessary to respect the rules of standing and parking of a transport.

Population of the republic should remove loose objects from their balconies and courtyards, and tightly close the windows. During strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from the eaves of houses, advertising stands and stretches; do not stand near fragile roofs and rotting tree trunks. To avoid an injury in the event of hurricane gusts, you must hide in the basement of the building or at the staircase.
