Safety on water must be enforced by local governments work

Swimming season in the republic was officially opened on June, 1, but six tragic accidents have already been registered since the beginning of May, including two children dead. Such disappointing results were announced by Chief State Inspector of RT for Small Vessels, Ilham Nasibullin, in Ministry of RT during a briefing organized for the media.

Also, in his speech Ilham Nasibullin noted that a complex of measures aimed at preventing accidents on water, reducing the severity of consequences, the protection of life and health of the population was prepared and held in order to ensure the safety of people on water bodies in the summer of 2014 in the Republic of Tatarstan.

But the only GIMS forces are not enough, it is necessary to realize complex measures of risk reduction on water by the forces of local governments. 92 informational letters with recommendations were sent to local governments and municipal institutions.
