Competitions of firefighters and rescuers of the Volga region ended with the victory of the Tatarstan national team
Interregional sports competitions of the main departments of the EMERCOM of Russia in the subjects of the Russian Federation of the Volga Federal district and the championship in the Volga Federal district started on June 30 in Cheboksary. They lasted four days. More than 400 athletes from 14 regions of the Volga region gathered in the capital of Chuvashia to compete for the main trophy of the tournament. Among them are 50 masters of sports, two Honored masters of sports and an international master of sports, including members of the Russian national team.
The championship program included four disciplines: overcoming a hundred-meter obstacle course, climbing an assault ladder, a fire relay race and combat deployment.
Athletes of the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan won gold medals according to the results of the overall ranking among adult teams. Tatarstan residents managed to beat their rivals from the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Nizhny Novgorod region in a hard struggle.
Our boys and girls also managed to distinguish themselves at the Cheboksary tournament. In the overall standings, according to the results of all stages, our youth won silver awards.
The teams that showed the best results among the teams of the Volga Federal District in Cheboksary will represent the district at the All-Russian competitions in fire and rescue sports, which will be held in early August in Mordovia.
