The first fire and rescue sports tournament dedicated to the memory of Honored Coach of Russia Vladimir Iosifovich Yablochkin ended with a convincing victory for the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan in Podolsk, Moscow region.

About 300 of the strongest representatives of the fire and rescue sports of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus took part in the interregional competitions.

The youth and adult teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the team of special departments of the FPS of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, teams from Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Bryansk, Vladimir, Kaluga, Kursk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl regions, the city of Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as teams from leading universities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia competed for victory in the first memorial.: The Academy of the State Fire Service, the Academy of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Ivanovo Fire and Rescue Academy.

The athletes identified the strongest in climbing an assault ladder through the window of the training tower, overcoming an obstacle course, a fire relay race and combat deployment.

This tournament, held for the first time, is designed to perpetuate the memory of Honored coach of Russia Vladimir Iosifovich Yablochkin, whose life was inextricably linked with the development of fire protection and fire-applied sports in the Moscow region.

A special place in the legacy of Vladimir Iosifovich is occupied by the creation in 1974 of the Moscow Region national fire and applied sports team. Under his mentorship, the team has demonstrated outstanding results for decades, winning prizes dozens of times on interregional, national and international arenas.

Unfortunately, a year ago, on May 28, 2025, Vladimir Iosifovich Yablochkin passed away.

The winners of the competition were determined in individual and team competitions in two competitions at once: international (between the teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus) and regional (between the teams of the Main Departments).

Representatives of the team of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan performed brilliantly on all "fronts", both for their headquarters and for the Russian national team, whose honor was defended by several Tatarstan citizens at once.

In the fire relay, the best results were shown by the adult and youth teams of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, who took 1st and 2nd places, respectively. The third place went to the youth national team of the Republic of Belarus.

In individual competitions, our countrymen were noted for their successful performance:

Nikolai Yazov, who won a bronze medal in climbing the assault ladder in the men's competition.;

Marina Khakimova, who took second place in climbing the ladder among women;

Arina Khvorystkina, who became the winner in this discipline as a member of the Russian national team.

Our masters continued their victorious march in the 100-meter obstacle course competitions.

Nikolay Yazov won silver, and Marina Khakimova won gold! Arina Khvorystkina has won another championship as a member of the Russian national team!

The successful performance of all Tatarstan "applied scientists" allowed our team to get ahead of the Moscow Region team at the last moment, which was in the lead in the overall standings until the last day of the competition. As a result, the victory and the main prize – a beautiful porcelain cup with a Gzhel painting - goes to Kazan to the Museum of Glory of Fire and Rescue Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan. The team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region won the bronze medal in the overall standings.

In addition to the athletes, the merits of the coaches who prepared the athletes for these starts were also highlighted. Congratulations to the head coach of the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan, Master of Sports of international class Roman Wagner!
