December 9th is the International аntiсorruption day. Together for honesty, openness and trust

9 December 2025, Tuesday

Everyone wants to live in a state where the economy is thriving, where citizens can exercise their right to vote, and the adopted regulations are the same for everyone. However, all countries are affected to varying degrees by the phenomenon that slows down the development of all these processes – corruption. It creates barriers, destroys the development of society and the foundations of the state. This world holiday is dedicated to fighting it.

Various actions and events are held in Russia on this day. Statistical studies have established that during the fight against corruption, state revenues can increase 4 times (in the long term), business can develop more intensively by 3%, and the infant mortality rate can decrease by 75%.

Corruption is not just about bribery or abuse of office. This is a serious threat that undermines the foundations of statehood, hinders economic development, destroys public confidence in government institutions and violates the principles of social justice.

The Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan opposes corruption in any of its manifestations. Our job is to serve people, and we do it honestly, openly, and professionally.
Honesty, justice and legality are the basis for the stable development and well—being of our republic and the country as a whole.

Combating corruption is a national task and its solution is entrusted to all executive, legislative and judicial authorities. In accordance with the Ministry's anti-corruption program and the work plan for 2025, it is planned to implement measures aimed at:

- identifying and eliminating corruption-causing factors in regulatory legal acts and draft regulatory legal acts through anti-corruption expertise, and providing conditions for independent anti-corruption expertise.;
- intensification of anti-corruption education and anti-corruption propaganda;
- ensuring openness and accessibility to the public of the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan;
- ensuring openness, fair competition and objectivity in the procurement of goods, works and services;
- strengthening measures to minimize domestic corruption.
Information about corruption in the activities of employees, contained in the media, the Internet, and appeals from citizens and legal entities, is constantly monitored. In order to identify, study, limit or eliminate phenomena that give rise to corruption offenses or contribute to their spread, the rules of procedure for reviewing applications and appeals from citizens for information about corruption on the part of department employees have been approved.

In the reporting period, there were no cases of non-compliance with restrictions, prohibitions and non-fulfillment of duties established in order to combat corruption, including those aimed at preventing and resolving conflicts of interest.

 In connection with the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays, we remind you of the need to comply with the prohibition on giving and receiving gifts.
