On December 5, a solemn meeting dedicated to Volunteer day was held at the specialized fire and rescue unit No. 48 for extinguishing large fires of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Before the start of the festive ceremony, the invited volunteers got acquainted with the equipment and fire fighting equipment. On the basis of this unit, an airmobile group of the Main Directorate has been created in the number of 100 specialists who are ready to move to the emergency site within two hours. Marel, a Rottweiler service dog, added positive emotions and entertained the curious guests with her obedience and training skills.
Volunteerism is actively developing in the republic in various fields of activity, including fire prevention, emergency situations, rescue and assistance.
To date, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan has organized cooperation with 9 public organizations active in the field of life safety and protection of the population and territories from emergency situations. The total number of volunteer rescuers (volunteers) is 439 people, of whom 26 people are certified for the right to conduct rescue operations.
During the year, public organizations (associations) in Tatarstan were involved in search and rescue operations 339 times, where 356 people were found and rescued.
The priority in 2025 for many public organizations was the provision of assistance to military personnel of the SMO. During the current year, volunteers from the Republic of Tatarstan have delivered humanitarian aid more than 80 times.
Thanks to the effective joint activities of volunteers and employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, an effective fire extinguishing and rescue system has been established.
