Firefighter No. 65: how the cat became the mascot of a separate post in the Zainsk district
In 2023, when firefighters from the Nizhnekamsk detachment rescued an injured cat while extinguishing an uninhabited house in the village of Sredniye Penyachi in the Zainsk district. Without hesitation, the firefighters took him with them to heal him and help him find a new home.
Since then, a separate Nizhny Bishevo post has had its own mascot, a cat named "Firefighter 65." The number in his name is not accidental: it was under this number that the burning house from which he was rescued was listed.
"He became a full—fledged member of our team," the firefighters say. - He meets us from the exits, "checks" the equipment and is even present at the formations."
The story of "Firefighter 65" is not just a cute case. She reminds us of the importance of mutual assistance and compassion, which know no boundaries between humans and animals. And also that even in the most difficult situations there is a place for hope and a second chance.
