A planned rollover of all fire hoses has been completed at a separate post in the village of Tenki of the Apastovsky detachment of the Fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan. This work is not just a formality, but an important part of maintaining fire fighting readiness.
When the sleeves lie folded for a long time, permanent creases appear on them. These creases can: reduce the strength of the sleeve material; interfere with the water supply when extinguishing a fire; hide possible damage.
Firefighters carefully roll out each sleeve, straighten out the old bends and fold in a new way. This helps to prevent the appearance of permanent creases and extend the service life of the sleeves.
The same work was carried out in a separate post in the village of Staroe Tyaberdino. After testing for durability, all the sleeves were rolled up – now they are ready for further service.
Such an attentive attitude to fire hoses helps Tatarstan firefighters to be always ready for challenges. After all, reliable sleeves are the key to successful fire fighting.
