The victory of the young athletes from Nizhnekamsk ended the championship of the Republic of Tatarstan in fire and rescue sports among boys and girls, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding fire chief Nikolai Matveevich Lobov. The winners were accompanied on the podium by a team from Kazan, representing physical education team-5, and Almetyevsk physical education team-2, who took second and third places.
Seven teams competed for the main prize, including boys and girls representing the physical education teams of the fire brigades of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk. The open competitions were also attended by children from the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Mari-El and Ulyanovsk.
The opening ceremony of the youth championship took place in the sports arena of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. During the team building, Fargat Zavdatovich Asadov, an outstanding veteran of firefighting and applied sports, multiple champion of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, coach of the women's national team of the Republic of Tatarstan in fire and rescue sports, celebrated his 70th birthday. The President of the Federation of Fire and Applied Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, Takhir Karimullin, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Dynamo Society of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexander Plyushkin, and other officials congratulated the Honored athlete and coach.
By good tradition, all the teams were given souvenirs and a weighty chakchak.
Only boys and girls participate in these competitions. The tournament is held to promote fire and rescue sports and to select candidates for the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan.
