For more than 8 years, the state budgetary institution of the Republic of Tatarstan "Emergency Call Service - 112" has been operating a psychological support department. Psychologists of the 112 Service provide accessible psychological assistance to the staff of the institution and applicants in need of it. In addition, psychologists at Service 112 provide methodological development and support for various activities conducted at Service 112, as well as professional recruitment and training of personnel. Each of these areas of activity of the psychological support department is important in the activities of the 112 Service.
Another area of activity of the psychologists of the 112 Service is the recruitment of personnel. The participation of psychologists in the recruitment process helps to understand how well a candidate is suitable for the position of a specialist in receiving and processing emergency calls on duty shifts of the 112 Service.
As part of the professional selection, applicants undergo psychodiagnostic studies to assess their cognitive abilities, stress tolerance, ability to react in difficult situations, speech literacy, and typing speed. Psychological preparation of candidates for work is carried out within the framework of professional training.
