Fire investigation is one of the most difficult tasks in the investigation of accidents and crimes. A fire destroys all traces, destroys the original situation at the scene, and hides the evidence necessary for the investigation. The task of the investigator is not only to find the cause of the fire, but also to identify those responsible for its occurrence.
The job of an investigator is very responsible, difficult, but interesting. It is impossible to become a good investigator without giving yourself completely to your work. You need to be able to find the right solutions based on the law, and also be able to understand someone else's misfortune, understand the problem of citizens affected by fire, and take all measures to establish the true causes of the fire.
In 2024, employees of the Department of Supervision and Preventive Work of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan registered 9428 thousand incident reports. Of these, 4,373 were reports of fires and other fire-related incidents. 2,308 decisions were issued to refuse to institute criminal proceedings.
