Yuri Venediktov began the report with statistics on incidents in the reservoirs of the republic since the beginning of the year. According to him, 88 incidents were registered during this time, as a result of which 71 people died, including 5 children, and 30 more (including 6 children) were saved. During the same period last year, there were 101 incidents with 77 dead (8 children) and 67 rescued (12).
Further, in his speech, Yuri Venediktov called on the owners of small vessels to end the season. He recalled that it is prohibited to travel on navigable rivers by boats and speedboats since the official closure of navigation.
