Anniversary of the First detachment: the legendary fire protection unit of Tatarstan celebrates its 55th anniversary!
In the early 60s, in the city of Nizhnekamsk, the management of the Tatneftestroy trust decided to create a departmental fire brigade, which is part of the structure of the chemical plant. Until 1967, a group of trained firefighting specialists, funded by enterprises building an industrial zone, was comprehensively engaged in fire-fighting activities.
In May 1966, with the participation of the Fire Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Petrochemical and Oil Refining Industry, an act of the interdepartmental commission was drawn up. According to him, the existing infrastructure of future productions was supposed to come under the control of a paramilitary fire department.
The interdepartmental commission studied all the above-mentioned facilities, taking into account the long-term plans for the further development of the petrochemical industry in the city of Nizhnekamsk. Based on the results of inspections of various departments, a conclusion was issued on the creation of paramilitary fire protection units. It is considered to be the beginning of the origin, which has become legendary - the First squad.
To honor the veterans of the detachment with dignity, together with representatives of the city administration and industrial enterprises, firefighters organize a big celebration! The event dedicated to the 55th anniversary will take place on July 19 at the training ground of the fire and rescue unit No. 33.
