Today, the cynological service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia celebrates the next anniversary of its formation. In 1996, on this day, an order was signed on the creation of a search dog service in the Tsentrospas detachment. Since then, the four-legged fighters have become regular participants in rescue operations.
The effectiveness of work depends on mutual understanding between a dog and a person, and the result of this work is saved lives. The task of animals is to find people, the task of a dog handler is to adapt his pet to difficult and often extreme working conditions.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has over 200 dog training teams. The staff of the cynological service participated in hundreds of search and rescue operations not only in Russia, but also abroad. The dog handlers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and their four-legged friends have saved thousands of lives.
Several times a year, dog training teams participate in training camps in various federal districts of Russia.
