Neglect of safety measures on the water can lead to tragic consequences
This was announced during a briefing today by Yuri Venediktov, Deputy head of the territorial body of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan. At the meeting with media representatives, they discussed safety measures at water bodies when using small vessels during navigation in the Republic of Tatarstan.
First of all, Yuri Venediktov presented statistics on incidents at water bodies since the beginning of 2024.
The main cause of death is an accidental fall into the water for health reasons (8 cases). One case where a child died is insufficient parental control.
Alas, accidents involving small vessels are registered annually in the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the moment, the water temperature practically does not differ from the winter period and is only about 6 degrees.
