Fire safety for the Orthodox holiday of Easter will be provided by 237 employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry

To ensure the safety of the Orthodox holiday of Easter, the Office of Supervisory Activities of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan developed and implemented a set of organizational and practical measures.

Festive events will be held on the night of May 4-5 in 35 municipal districts, the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny. Easter prayers will be held in 237 cathedrals and parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church. At the moment, preventive visits have been carried out at all facilities involved in the Easter events.

All involved facilities were checked and examined by the Federal State Fire Supervision authorities for compliance with fire safety requirements.

During preventive visits with clergy and service personnel, briefings on fire safety measures were held, as well as their actions in the event of a fire. Particular attention was paid to the state of evacuation routes, the presence and serviceability of automatic fire alarm systems and fire warning systems, electrical equipment, as well as the provision of facilities with fire water supply and primary fire extinguishing equipment.
