GIMS Center warns: March ice is rapidly losing its strength!

Inspectors of the GIMS Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan conducted a preventive raid on the Volga River water area together with employees of the State Technical Supervision Department for the Republic of Tatarstan. The goal is to identify violations of the rules of safe behavior on the water, as well as bringing to administrative responsibility fishermen who use snowmobiles without having appropriate permits.
Spring gradually comes into its own. Warm weather and sunlight begin to undermine the ice shell on water bodies. As a result, more and more promines appear on rivers, especially in places with intense flow.
