For the first time in the history of the veteran movement of the EMERCOM of Russia, the Public organization "Council of Veterans of Firefighters and Rescuers of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan and the EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan" was recognized as the best in 2023 in the Volga Federal District. It became the winner of the All-Russian competition among the veteran organizations of the EMERCOM of Russia, taking the honorable 2nd place.

In its work, the Veterans Council pays great attention and care to the families of employees who died in the line of duty. Currently, 18 families are registered.
Today, there are 223 disabled veterans, who are also assisted by the councils of veterans of the units.
All veterans' organizations honor veterans who have reached the age of jubilee. Veterans are invited to the units where they served, where they are given gifts, bouquets of flowers, and monetary incentives.
