«Wish fir tree»: when new year's dreams come true
Irek Kadamov, Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan, and Nikolai Surzhko, Acting Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Tatarstan, fulfilled the cherished New Year's dreams of seventeen-year-old Diana and eight-year-old Sabina about a smart speaker and a mobile inflatable pool.
The girls live in Kazan. They wrote about their wishes on the Christmas Tree of Wishes website as part of an All-Russian charity event. The leaders removed postcards with their wishes from the New Year tree installed in the building of the State Council.
The girls' families were also given departmental calendars.
The Christmas Tree of Wishes charity event has been launched throughout Russia since 2018, and every year it unites thousands of people who are ready to do good deeds. Thanks to the efforts of the organizers and performers of the campaign, over 210 thousand children's New Year wishes have been fulfilled in six years.
This year, the promotion started on November 15, 2024 and will last until February 28, 2025.
