On October 17, 2023, on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and in the city of Kazan, a strong south, south-west wind is expected at night in gusts of 15-19 m/s, during the day and in the evening from 09 to 23 hours, a very strong wind of 15-20 m/s, gusts of 25-28 m/s.
The Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Republic of Tatarstan recommends in case of worsening weather conditions:
Drivers of vehicles should refrain from traveling outside the village without extreme need, be careful on the roads, maintain a safe distance, choose a speed limit. It is necessary to avoid erratic maneuvering and sharp braking and strictly comply with the instructions of road signs, instructions of traffic police officers.
During the intensification of the wind, the population of the republic should remove loose objects from undeclared balconies and courtyards, close the windows tightly. It is recommended to stay away from the eaves of houses, advertising stands and stretch marks, not to stand and not park vehicles near fragile canopies and rotten tree trunks.
